Instructions

  • Toss your broccoli florets, raisins or dried cranberries, and chopped red onion into a big mixing bowl. Don’t overfill it—you need room to stir without spilling.
  • Whisk the Miracle Whip, white vinegar, and granulated sugar in a smaller bowl till it's nice and smooth. This dressing is the soul of your salad.
  • Pour this creamy dressing over the broccoli mixture and toss it gently so every bit gets coated. Be thorough but careful not to squish the broccoli.
  • Add your crumbled bacon and sprinkle in sunflower kernels. Fold them in slowly ’cause they add crunch and you don’t wanna lose that.
  • Cover your bowl with plastic wrap or a tight lid. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes so those flavors can stew and mingle real good.

Nutritional information is an estimate and provided to you as a courtesy. You should calculate the nutritional information with the actual ingredients used in your recipe using your preferred nutrition calculator. This recipe is easy to double! If you aren’t a fan of Miracle Whip, you can swap it 1:1 with mayonnaise. This salad is best when made at least 2 hours in advance to let the flavors meld. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. The broccoli may release some moisture as it sits, so give it a quick stir before serving leftovers.
