  • 2 lb flank steak seasoned with 2 teaspoons salt and fajita spice mixture (smoked paprika, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder)
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced fresh and vibrant
  • 1 large onion chopped to soften sweetly
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic to punch up the flavor
  • 3 cups uncooked penne pasta ready to soak up that cream
  • 1.5 cups heavy cream adding silky richness
  • Olive oil to sear and sauté your ingredients just right
  • Chopped cilantro for garnish if you wanna add that fresh pop

  • Season flank steak with fajita spice mixture and salt. Heat olive oil in skillet over medium-high, sear steak for 5 minutes each side.
  • Remove steak and let it rest. Slice thin against the grain.
  • Add onion and red bell pepper to the skillet, cook for 5 minutes.
  • Boil salted water, cook penne pasta until tender. Drain.
  • Stir in minced garlic to the skillet, cook for 1 minute.
  • Add heavy cream to skillet, simmer gently.
  • Add pasta and steak back to skillet, stir to coat with sauce.
  • Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve.

Notes

Serve immediately. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
