seasoned with 2 teaspoons salt and fajita spice mixture (smoked paprika, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder)

red bell pepper

Season flank steak with fajita spice mixture and salt. Heat olive oil in skillet over medium-high, sear steak for 5 minutes each side.
Remove steak and let it rest. Slice thin against the grain.
Add onion and red bell pepper to the skillet, cook for 5 minutes.
Boil salted water, cook penne pasta until tender. Drain.
Stir in minced garlic to the skillet, cook for 1 minute.
Add heavy cream to skillet, simmer gently.
Add pasta and steak back to skillet, stir to coat with sauce.
Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve.
Notes
Serve immediately. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
