  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Wash the Brussels sprouts thoroughly and trim the ends. Cut any larger sprouts in half to ensure even cooking.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss them well to coat evenly.
  • Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  • If desired, drizzle with balsamic vinegar or lemon juice before serving for an extra layer of flavor.

Notes

For added texture, consider incorporating garlic cloves or diced pancetta on the baking sheet before roasting.
