Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Whisk together milk, eggs, thousand island dressing, and yellow mustard.
Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and layer half of the rye bread on the bottom.
Layer half the pastrami, half the sauerkraut, dill pickles, and half the Swiss cheese.
Sprinkle one teaspoon of caraway seeds over the layer.
Repeat layers again with the remaining ingredients.
Pour the milk and egg mixture over the entire casserole.
Sprinkle the last teaspoon of caraway seeds on top.
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
Notes
Serve with extra thousand island dressing or mustard on the side.
