  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 20 slices pepperoni
  • 0.25 cup black olives sliced
  • 0.5 cup mushrooms sliced
  • fresh basil leaves sliced, optional garnish

  • Cook tortellini according to package directions and drain well.
  • In a large bowl, mix cooked tortellini with marinara sauce until evenly coated.
  • Spread tortellini mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Arrange pepperoni slices over cheese layer.
  • Scatter black olives and sliced mushrooms evenly on top.
  • Bake uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Remove from oven, rest 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For best results, use fresh refrigerated tortellini and allow the bake to rest 5 minutes before serving so the cheese sets slightly. Garnish with basil for freshness.
