- 10 leaves fresh mint
- 2 limes (juiced)
- 1 cup coconut water Approximately 240 ml.
- ΒΌ cup white rum 60 ml.
- 2 tablespoons grenadine syrup 30 ml.
- 4 tablespoons sugar Or to taste (60 g).
- to taste ice cubes
- mint sprigs (for garnish)
- lime wedges (for garnish)
In a cocktail shaker, add the mint leaves and sugar. Use a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon to gently press the mint leaves and release their oils, but avoid shredding them.
Pour in the freshly squeezed lime juice and coconut water. Add the white rum and mix well to combine all the ingredients.
Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds to chill the ingredients.
Strain the mixture into four glasses filled with ice, leaving some space at the top.
Slowly pour about a half tablespoon of grenadine syrup into each glass, allowing it to settle at the bottom to create the pink effect.
Garnish each glass with a sprig of mint and a lime wedge. Serve immediately.
Adjust the sweetness of the drink to your preference by adding more or less sugar.
For a non-alcoholic version, simply omit the white rum and add more coconut water.
You can also experiment with different types of fruit juices, such as pineapple, to create your own variation.
