In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and instant yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
Add the melted butter and salt to the yeast mixture, then gradually add 3 cups of the flour. Mix using a wooden spoon or spatula until combined.
Slowly add the remaining flour, one cup at a time, until the dough starts to come together and is no longer sticky.
Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic.
Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 20 minutes, or until it doubles in size.
Punch down the risen dough to release air. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces (about 2 oz each) and shape them into balls.
Arrange the dough balls on a parchment-lined or greased baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one. Cover with a kitchen towel and let rise for another 15 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the rolls for 15 minutes or until they are golden brown on top.
Optional: Brush the tops with additional melted butter right after taking them out of the oven for extra flavor.
Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
