In a mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until the yeast is foamy.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Make a well in the center.
Add the melted butter and eggs to the yeast mixture, then pour this mixture into the well of the flour.
Stir with a wooden spoon or dough whisk until the dough begins to come together.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, until it's smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Punch down the risen dough and turn it out onto a floured surface. Divide it into 12 equal portions and shape each portion into a smooth ball.
Place the dough balls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them about an inch apart.
Cover the rolls with a towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
Brush the tops of the rolls with softened butter before placing them in the oven.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown on top.
Remove from the oven and brush with any remaining butter for a glossy finish.
