Start by cooking the penne pasta according to package instructions in salted boiling water until al dente. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet.
Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest on a cutting board.
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in the chicken broth and simmer for 2-3 minutes, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, and dried basil. Mix well until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.
Slice the cooked chicken and return it to the skillet. Stir to combine the chicken with the sauce.
Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet, tossing everything together until the pasta is well coated with the creamy sauce.
Serve the Marry Me Chicken Pasta hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
