1 baking dish (9x13 inch)
1 mixing bowl
1 measuring cups and spoons
1 whisk
1 fish spatula or regular spatula
1 oven
- 4 6-ounce cod fillets
- ¼ cup unsalted butter Half a stick.
- 2 large lemons 1 for juice, 1 for slices.
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a mixing bowl, melt the butter in the microwave or on the stove. Once melted, whisk in the juice of one lemon, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika until well combined.
Place the cod fillets in a baking dish in a single layer. Pour the lemon butter mixture evenly over the cod.
Slice the second lemon and place the slices on top of the fillets for added flavor.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cod flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad to complete the meal.
You can substitute cod with other white fish fillets like tilapia or haddock if desired. Adjust cooking times accordingly based on thickness.
