Ingredients
  

  • 4 6-ounce cod fillets
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter Half a stick.
  • 2 large lemons 1 for juice, 1 for slices.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, melt the butter in the microwave or on the stove. Once melted, whisk in the juice of one lemon, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika until well combined.
  • Place the cod fillets in a baking dish in a single layer. Pour the lemon butter mixture evenly over the cod.
  • Slice the second lemon and place the slices on top of the fillets for added flavor.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cod flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  • Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad to complete the meal.
You can substitute cod with other white fish fillets like tilapia or haddock if desired. Adjust cooking times accordingly based on thickness.
