  • 8 oz spaghetti base of the dish, holds sauce well
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil adds richness
  • 4 cloves garlic minced, punch of flavor
  • 1 small onion chopped, sweetness and depth
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced, tender and firm
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved, flavor and freshness
  • ½ cup white wine fancy, tang and zest
  • ¼ cup fresh basil chopped, classic Italian aroma
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes adjust for heat
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese creamy goodness

  • Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and chopped onion. Stir until onions are translucent.
  • Add mushrooms and cook until softened, about 4-5 minutes.
  • Add cherry tomatoes and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Pour in white wine and let simmer until reduced by half.
  • Add red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
  • Mix in the cooked spaghetti.
  • Remove from heat, toss in chopped basil and grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Serve immediately while warm and melty.

Notes

Can skip the white wine and replace with broth. Adjust red pepper flakes for desired heat.
