1 measuring spoons
1 heat-resistant spatula
1 serving spoon
- ½ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup honey Adjust sweetness according to taste.
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch Optional, for thicker glaze.
- 1 tablespoon water Optional, for thickening.
In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, honey, Dijon mustard, rice vinegar, minced garlic, minced ginger, and sesame oil.
Heat the saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture begins to simmer.
If you'd like a thicker glaze, mix the cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water in a separate bowl to create a slurry. Add this to the saucepan, whisking constantly to avoid lumps.
Continue to simmer the mixture for an additional 1-2 minutes until it thickens to your desired consistency. Remove from heat.
Allow the glaze to cool slightly before using it to glaze cooked salmon fillets. Brush the glaze generously over the salmon before serving.
This glaze can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to one week. Reheat gently before using.
Adjust the sweetness by modifying the honey according to your taste. You can also add a sprinkle of chili flakes for a spicy kick.
