Ingredients
  

  • 4 fillets salmon about 6 oz each
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger minced (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 2 green onions sliced for garnish
  • sesame seeds for garnish, optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger (if using), olive oil, and lemon juice until well combined.
  • Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper to taste and place them skin-side down in a baking dish or oven-safe skillet.
  • Pour the honey garlic sauce over the salmon fillets, reserving a few tablespoons for basting.
  • Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through. Baste the salmon with the reserved sauce halfway through the cooking time for extra flavor.
  • Once done, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
  • Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Serve the Honey Garlic Salmon with steamed vegetables or over rice for a complete meal.
You can substitute the salmon with other types of fish, but cooking times may vary.
For a spicier kick, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
