Equipment

  • 1 large skillet or wok
  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 spatula or wooden spoon
  • 4 serving bowls

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 1 carrot julienned
  • 3 green onions chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger minced
  • ¼ cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • optional sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and ginger; sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Incorporate the ground turkey into the skillet, using a spatula to break it up as it cooks. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the turkey is browned and cooked through.
  • Add the sliced bell pepper, broccoli florets, snap peas, and julienned carrot to the skillet. Stir-fry the vegetables for about 3-4 minutes, or until they are tender-crisp.
  • Pour the teriyaki sauce and soy sauce over the mixture in the skillet. Stir well to combine and allow the sauce to coat all the ingredients. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  • Drizzle sesame oil over the stir fry and add chopped green onions. Mix thoroughly.
  • Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds if desired.
