Equipment

  • 1 cooking spoon or spatula
  • 1 measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 bell pepper bell pepper sliced (any color)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup snap peas or green beans
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • ΒΌ cup beef broth or water
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • for serving cooked rice or noodles (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add the sliced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 2 minutes, until softened and fragrant.
  • Increase the heat to high and add the ground beef. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula until browned, approximately 4-5 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  • Stir in the bell pepper, broccoli, and snap peas (or green beans). Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  • In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), cornstarch, and beef broth (or water) until well combined.
  • Pour the sauce over the stir-fry mixture in the skillet. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles if desired.

Notes

Feel free to swap in any of your favorite vegetables such as carrots, zucchini, or mushrooms.
You can also add chili flakes or fresh herbs for an extra kick of flavor.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat before serving.
