  • 1 cooking spatula
  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 cheese grater (optional)
  • 4 serving plates

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (85% lean)
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 4 slices provolone cheese (or cheese of your choice)
  • 4 hoagie rolls

  • Once the beef is cooked through, reduce the heat to low. Lay a slice of provolone cheese over the beef and cover the skillet with a lid. Allow the cheese to melt for about 2 minutes.
  • While the cheese is melting, split the hoagie rolls and lightly toast them if desired.
  • Once the cheese has melted, divide the beef and cheese mixture among the toasted hoagie rolls.
  • Serve immediately, adding sliced jalapeños if desired.
