Equipment

  • 1 large skillet or frying pan
  • 1 pot for boiling noodles
  • 1 colander
  • 1 wooden spoon or spatula
  • 1 measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 cutting board

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste chopped parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  • Begin by boiling water in a pot and cooking the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the noodles and set aside.
  • In a large skillet or frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
  • Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Once the beef is browned, drain any excess fat. Reduce the heat to medium and stir in the beef broth, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well to combine.
  • Carefully fold in the cooked egg noodles, ensuring they are coated with the sauce. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 2-3 minutes, just until heated through.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary before serving.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve hot.
