Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • lemon wedges for serving

Instructions
 

  • Heat the large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil.
  • Once the oil is hot, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 1 minute until the garlic is fragrant, being careful not to let it burn.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they start turning pink.
  • Flip the shrimp and add the grated Parmesan cheese. Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the shrimp are fully cooked and the cheese is melted and slightly crispy.
  • Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the chopped parsley.
  • Serve the Garlic Parmesan Shrimp immediately, garnished with lemon wedges for an extra burst of flavor.

Notes

For a healthier option, you can use less oil or try a light spray of cooking oil.
This dish pairs beautifully with pasta, rice, or a side salad.
