  • 1 can tuna drained
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce low sodium optional
  • ½ teaspoon sesame oil optional
  • 1 tablespoon green onions chopped
  • 1 sheet nori cut into strips
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish

  • In a bowl, combine tuna, mayonnaise, soy sauce, sesame oil, and green onions.
  • Mix thoroughly until well combined.
  • Wet your hands with water to prevent sticking and scoop about 2 tablespoons of rice into your hand.
  • Make an indentation in the center and add a spoonful of the tuna filling.
  • Mold the rice around the filling to form a ball. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  • Garnish with nori strips and sesame seeds. Serve immediately or chill before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a touch of wasabi or sriracha to the tuna mix. Use plastic wrap to help shape the rice balls more easily.
