Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined Use fresh or thawed frozen shrimp.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • ½ cup diced tomatoes
  • ½ cup diced onion
  • 1 count avocado, sliced
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • as needed none lime wedges for serving For squeezing over the tacos.

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the shrimp, olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the shrimp are evenly coated with the spices.
  • Preheat the large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the shrimp mixture to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat.
  • While the shrimp is cooking, warm the tortillas in another skillet or microwave until soft and pliable.
  • To assemble the tacos, place a few shrimp in each tortilla. Top with shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, diced onion, and slices of avocado. Sprinkle with fresh cilantro.
  • Serve the tacos with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the top. Enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to customize your tacos with additional toppings like sour cream, salsa, or hot sauce.
For a spicier kick, you can add sliced jalapeños or red pepper flakes to the shrimp mixture.
If using frozen shrimp, make sure to thaw them completely before cooking.
