  • 1 baking sheet
  • 1 parchment paper optional
  • 1 kitchen towel or plastic wrap

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F or 43°C)
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Whisk together until well mixed.

  • Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased. Cover with a kitchen towel or plastic wrap and let rise in a warm area for 10 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Once the rolls have risen slightly, bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, you can brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter immediately after they come out of the oven.
Serve these dinner rolls warm for the best taste, and consider accompanying them with soft butter or homemade jam.
You can store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven for a few minutes before serving if needed.
