Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound frozen meatballs You can substitute with homemade ones if preferred.
  • 12 ounces penne pasta
  • 4 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • to taste fresh basil or parsley For garnish (optional).

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In the baking dish, combine the frozen meatballs and dry penne pasta.
  • Pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs and pasta, ensuring everything is evenly coated.
  • Sprinkle the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper over the top.
  • Stir everything together gently until well mixed.
  • Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the casserole, and return to the oven uncovered.
  • Bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.

Notes

You can substitute the frozen meatballs with homemade ones if you prefer.
Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach for added nutrition.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or oven before serving again.
