Main Ingredients

  • 2 lb Chicken Thighs seasoned with salt, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and poultry seasoning
  • 2 Sweet Onions sliced thin
  • 10.6 oz Campbell's French Onion Soup
  • 2 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • ½ cup Beef Broth
  • 4 cloves Garlic diced
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 4 sprigs Fresh Thyme
  • 4 tablespoon Salted Butter sliced
  • 6 oz Gruyere to melt on top

Instructions

  • Season chicken thighs with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and poultry seasoning.
  • Place sliced sweet onions in the bottom of the crock pot.
  • Layer seasoned chicken on top of the onions.
  • Pour in French onion soup, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth.
  • Add garlic, bay leaves, and thyme on top. Lay sliced butter over everything.
  • Cover crock pot and cook on low for 6 hours (or high for 3–4 hours). Sprinkle with Gruyere at the end and let it melt before serving.

Notes

Taste improves the next day. Store leftovers in the fridge or freezer. Consider broiling cheese for crispy edges before serving.
