Equipment

  • 1 Pressure cooker For crispy and juicy chicken thighs

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 8 chicken thighs about 3 pounds, skin-on, bone-in
  • 2 teaspoons paprika to add a smoky warmth
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt for that perfect savory kick
  • 1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder to punch up the flavor
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder to round things out
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper for just a little heat
  • ¾ cup BBQ sauce Your favorite brand or 2 cups homemade

Instructions

Instructions

  • Dry those chicken thighs with paper towels real good. Moisture is the enemy of crispiness.
  • Mix your paprika, kosher salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in a small bowl. This is your flavour base.
  • Rub that spice blend all over each chicken thigh. Don’t be shy, get all sides coated.
  • Place the thighs skin-side up on your baking sheet lined with foil. This helps with easy cleanup.
  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. This step makes sure the skin gets that perfect crispy texture.
  • Bake for 30 minutes at 400 degrees, let that skin brown up nice and even.
  • Brush the chicken thighs with your BBQ sauce generously. Return them to the oven for 5 more minutes to caramelize that sauce and get even crispier skin.
  • Take ’em out and let ’em rest for a few minutes before serving. This helps the juices redistribute so each bite stays juicy. Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.

Notes

Brush the BBQ sauce on near the end of baking to prevent burning.
