Instructions
Start by melting 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet on medium heat. Easy does it, don't let it brown too fast.
Add your chicken breasts, and sprinkle on Cajun seasoning, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Cook them about 5-7 minutes on each side till golden and cooked through. Set aside after.
Dump the remaining butter into the same skillet, toss in the sliced smoked sausage, and let it brown up real nice for 4-5 minutes. That snappy smell means it’s ready.
Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for 3-4 minutes until tender. They soak up those tasty drippings.
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for just about one minute until you can smell it gently cooking.
Pour in your chicken broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping the skillet bottom to loosen all those tasty bits. Bring this mix up to a simmer.
Slice your cooked chicken then toss it back in the skillet with the sauce and sausage mix. Stir everything to combine.
Now cook your penne pasta right in the pot with your Cajun spice, cream, paprika, garlic powder, Parmesan, sea salt and the sauce. Use a quick release here once timer done to keep pasta perfect. Stir gently and it’s ready to serve.
