Equipment

  • 1 Skillet or Grill

Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 3 lbs ground beef or ground chuck 85/15 or 80/20
  • 8 oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 6 tablespoon ranch seasoning
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 lb cooked bacon crumbled
  • 12 burger buns
  • 12 slices Colby jack cheese
  • SPG (Salt, Pepper, Garlic)

Instructions

Instructions

  • Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat for a nice sear on the burgers.
  • In a large bowl, toss together the ground beef, ranch seasoning, and SPG mix. Mix gently.
  • Shape burger patties, about ⅓ pound each. Avoid packing them too tight.
  • Cook patties on grill or skillet for 4 to 5 minutes per side for a brown crust.
  • At the last minute of cooking, lay a slice of Colby jack cheese on each patty.
  • Toast the buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  • Build burgers with sour cream on the bottom bun, add the cheesy patty, sprinkle with crumbled bacon, and top with shredded sharp cheddar.
  • Cap with the bun top and serve while hot.

Notes

These burgers are going to be super juicy due to the fat in the ground beef, sour cream, and shredded cheese. We prefer Colby jack on top, but any cheese you like will work. Enjoy!
