Cake Mix Brownies – Use Any Flavor!

Easy and delicious brownies made from any box cake mix of your choice, prepared quickly in a pressure cooker.

  • 1 Mixing bowl Large
  • 1 Pressure cooker
  • 1 Trivet for pressure cooker
  • 1 Oven mitts for handling hot dish

Main ingredients

  • 1 box cake mix 15.25-ounce, any flavor
  • cup vegetable oil helps keep it nice and moist
  • 2 eggs large, binds everything together
  • 1 cup chocolate chips optional but tasty
  • 1 nonstick cooking spray to grease baking dish
  • 1 8x8-inch baking dish that fits inside pressure cooker
  • water to fill the cooker for steaming

  • Lightly spray your 8x8-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, mix cake mix, vegetable oil, and eggs. Stir well. Add chocolate chips if desired.
  • Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  • Pour 1 to 1 ½ cups of water into the bottom of your pressure cooker.
  • Place a trivet inside the cooker. Put the baking dish on top. Seal the lid securely.
  • Cook at high pressure for 20 minutes. Quick release when done. Allow to cool before slicing.

Notes

Adjust baking time for desired brownie softness. Add nuts or berries for extra flavor.
