In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, melted butter, sugar, and yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
Add the eggs and vanilla extract into the mixture and stir to combine.
Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
Shape each piece into a round bun. For the bunny shape, pinch the top of the bun lightly to form ears. Place each bun on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Use raisins for the eyes, and slivered almonds or chocolate chips for the bunny ears, pressing them gently into the dough.
Cover the buns with a kitchen towel and let them rise again for about 30 minutes.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown on top.
Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
