Season your chicken breasts well with salt and pepper on both sides.
Mix the glaze in a small bowl: brown sugar, water, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Stir until smooth.
Heat your skillet over medium heat, add a little oil. Sear the chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side.
Pour the brown sugar glaze over the chicken breasts. Turn heat to low and cover the skillet. Let simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Check chicken's internal temp (165°F). For pressure cooker: place chicken with glaze, lock lid, quick release after cooking.
Serve immediately or store leftovers as directed.
Notes
Serve warm with additional glaze drizzled over the top if desired.
