  • 3-4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to season the chicken
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Oil for skillet cooking

  • Season your chicken breasts well with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Mix the glaze in a small bowl: brown sugar, water, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Stir until smooth.
  • Heat your skillet over medium heat, add a little oil. Sear the chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side.
  • Pour the brown sugar glaze over the chicken breasts. Turn heat to low and cover the skillet. Let simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  • Check chicken's internal temp (165°F). For pressure cooker: place chicken with glaze, lock lid, quick release after cooking.
  • Serve immediately or store leftovers as directed.

Notes

Serve warm with additional glaze drizzled over the top if desired.
