Equipment

  • 1 Pressure cooker used for cooking rice and beef

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups uncooked long-grain white rice
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 small yellow onion chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ to ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes depending on spice level
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar

Instructions

Instructions

  • Cook your rice first like the package says because we’ll add the beef mix right on top later.
  • Grab your pressure cooker and melt that butter over medium heat, then toss in the ground beef.
  • Cook that beef till it’s browned and crumbly, breaking it apart as you go, get it nice and even.
  • Throw in the chopped onion, both bell peppers, and your minced garlic. Sauté till veggies get soft and smell awesome.
  • Sprinkle in red pepper flakes, soy sauce, and brown sugar, then stir everything good. Pour in the vinegar and garlic powder, stir again.
  • Lock your lid on, make sure the sealing ring is good and that float valve’s down. Set for a quick pressure build for 5 minutes.
  • When it’s done, do a natural release so the pressure comes down slow and your beef stays juicy. Serve all over your cooked rice and dig in.

Notes

This dish is best served fresh and can be complemented with green onion or lime juice after reheating leftovers.
