Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Slice the French baguette into ½-inch thick slices and arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Brush each slice lightly with olive oil and bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
While the bread is baking, prepare the balsamic reduction. In a small saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar and honey. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it boils. Reduce the heat to low and let simmer until it thickens slightly (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool.
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened goat cheese and a pinch of salt. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Once the crostinis are done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
Spread a generous amount of goat cheese on each crostini. Top each with fresh blueberries.
Drizzle the balsamic reduction over the crostinis.
If desired, garnish with fresh basil leaves. Serve immediately and enjoy!
