  • 8 ounces dried pasta spaghetti or your favorite kind
  • 4 garlic cloves minced real fine
  • 1 large shallot halved and sliced thin
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes you can skip if spice ain’t your thing
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika for that smoky vibe
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted and ready
  • ½ cup dry white wine adds a nice tang
  • 1 medium lemon zest and juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper fresh ground if you got it
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped to sprinkle on top
  • 1 pound shrimp peeled and deveined, tail on or off your call
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese for that final cheesy kick

  • Start preheating your oven to 375°F. Get that ready while you handle the prep.
  • Cook your pasta like every package says. Get it al dente, drain it, and set aside.
  • Heat up a large skillet. Drop your olive oil and butter in there and let it melt over medium heat.
  • Add in the shallot and garlic. Sauté till translucent and aromatic, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir in crushed red pepper flakes, smoked paprika, salt, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Stir to mix.
  • Pour in the white wine and let it simmer for about 5 minutes to reduce.
  • Toss pasta and shrimp into skillet, stirring to coat with sauce.
  • Transfer to a baking dish and cover with foil to keep moist.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired.
