Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
In an oven-safe baking dish, add the cherry tomatoes and drizzle with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Sprinkle with garlic powder, red pepper flakes (if using), and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix everything together.
Place the block of feta cheese in the center of the tomatoes and drizzle the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over the feta. Season the feta with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the tomatoes are blistered and the feta is golden and softened.
While the feta and tomatoes are baking, cook the pasta according to package instructions in a pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of the pasta cooking water, then drain the pasta in a colander.
Once the feta and tomatoes are done baking, remove the dish from the oven. Using a fork, mash the feta and tomatoes together until creamy.
Add the cooked pasta to the baking dish and mix well, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
For extra flavor, consider adding spinach or other vegetables to the baking dish before baking the feta and tomatoes.
Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious baked feta pasta!
