Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 measuring spoons

Ingredients

  • 4 medium sweet potatoes About 1.5 lbs.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Optional.
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder Optional.
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder Optional.

Instructions

  • Begin by peeling the sweet potatoes and cutting them into even 1-inch cubes. This ensures they cook uniformly.
  • Place the cubed sweet potatoes into a large mixing bowl. Add the olive oil, salt, paprika, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder (if using).
  • Toss the sweet potatoes in the bowl to combine them thoroughly with the oil and seasonings, ensuring each piece is coated.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Once preheated, place the seasoned sweet potatoes into the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding; you may need to cook in batches.
  • Cook the sweet potatoes for 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
  • After 15 minutes, check for doneness. If they are not golden and tender, return them to the air fryer for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Once cooked to your liking, remove them from the fryer and serve immediately.

Notes

You can adjust the seasoning according to your preference. Try cumin or chili powder for a different flavor profile.
Serve the sweet potatoes with a dipping sauce like honey mustard or a yogurt-based dressing for added flavor.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes to regain their crispiness.
