Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon low sodium tamari or soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for crispy coat
  • 3 tablespoons plain gluten free breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoon fresh grated ginger or ½ teaspoon dried
  • 1 tablespoon oil for sautéing
  • 1 cup orange juice fresh squeezed if possible
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup low sodium tamari or soy sauce for sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2-3 teaspoons sriracha to taste
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for sauce thickening
  • 2 tablespoons water to mix with cornstarch

Instructions

  • Toss chicken with tamari in a bowl to marinate for 15 minutes.
  • Add cornstarch and breadcrumbs to chicken and mix until evenly coated.
  • Preheat air fryer to 380°F. Add chicken in a single layer.
  • Cook chicken for 10-14 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  • Heat oil in saucepan, sauté garlic and ginger until golden.
  • Add juice, zest, honey, tamari, vinegar, sriracha. Simmer.
  • Whisk cornstarch with water, mix into sauce to thicken, then cool.
  • Toss cooked chicken with sauce and serve hot.

Notes

Use gluten free alternatives for a totally gluten free dish. Reheat in an air fryer or stovetop for best texture. Sauce can be made ahead.
