Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 whisk
  • 1 measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 tongs
  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 knife

Ingredients

  • 4 fillets salmon (6 oz each)
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 green onions, chopped for garnish
  • optional sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, olive oil, and black pepper. Whisk until well blended to create the marinade.
  • Place the salmon fillets in the bowl with the marinade and coat evenly. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes at room temperature.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Using tongs, remove the salmon from the marinade, letting any excess drip off. Reserve the marinade for later.
  • Place the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch each other.
  • Cook the salmon in the air fryer at 390°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes, depending on the thickness, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.
  • While the salmon is cooking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Once the salmon is done, remove it from the air fryer and drizzle with the thickened honey garlic sauce.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket for even cooking.
You can substitute maple syrup for honey if preferred.
Serve with steamed vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
