Equipment

  • 1 Air Fryer
  • 1 Saucepan
  • 1 Wooden Spoon
  • 1 Featherweight Piping Bag
  • 1 Large Star Tip see note
  • 1 Scissors
  • 1 Cookie Baking Pan
  • 1 Parchment Paper
  • 1 Small Bowl

Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 150 ml Water about half a cup plus 2 tablespoons
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon White Sugar for dough
  • 1 tablespoon Canola Oil
  • 60 grams All Purpose Flour half a cup, packed
  • 100 grams White Sugar half a cup, for coating
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • Cooking spray for that extra crispiness

Instructions

Instructions

  • Start by combining water, salt, sugar, and oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Keep an eye on it until it boils.
  • Once boiling, take the pan off the heat and stir in the flour real quick until it turns into a smooth dough. No lumps!
  • Let the dough cool for a little bit so you don’t burn your fingers later on.
  • Transfer the dough to a piping bag with a star tip—this helps give your churros those classic ridges.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 180 degrees Celsius, which is 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Pipe tiny bite-sized churros right onto the basket of your air fryer, making sure they don’t touch.
  • Give your churros a light spritz of cooking spray, this step really helps crisp em up.
  • Air fry those babies for about 10 to 12 minutes until they’re golden and just perfect. Watch for that tender pull texture.
  • Mix sugar and cinnamon in a shallow dish while you wait.
  • Once out of the fryer, toss the churros in your cinnamon sugar mix while they’re still warm so the coating sticks real good.
  • Serve right away and get ready for some seriously happy munching.

Notes

Serve warm with caramel sauce. Avoid refrigerating them as they will go soggy over time.
