Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 measuring spoons
  • 1 tongs or spatula

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh broccoli florets Cut into uniform sizes for even cooking.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes Optional, for heat.

Instructions

  • Begin by washing and drying the fresh broccoli florets. Make sure they are cut into uniform sizes to ensure even cooking.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
  • Add the broccoli florets to the bowl and toss them well with the seasoning mixture until all pieces are evenly coated.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Once preheated, place the seasoned broccoli in the air fryer basket in a single layer. If necessary, cook in batches to avoid overcrowding.
  • Cook the broccoli for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even crisping. Check for desired tenderness; it should be bright green and slightly crispy.
  • Remove the broccoli from the air fryer and serve immediately, either alone or as a side to your main dish.

Notes

Feel free to add lemon zest or juice after cooking for a fresh flavor boost.
You can also sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese on top right after cooking for an extra savory touch.
Adjust the cooking time based on how tender or crispy you prefer your broccoli.
