Main ingredients

  • 2 large Granny Smith apples crisp and tart
  • 1 cup all purpose flour about 130 grams

  • ¼ cup cinnamon sugar
  • Cooking spray
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract mixed with 1-2 tablespoons whole milk

Instructions

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). You wanna make sure it’s nice and hot before you start cooking your apple fries.
  • Slice the apples into fry-shaped pieces. You want them all around finger length and kinda thin, so they cook evenly and get that crisp you’re looking for.
  • In a bowl, mix the flour and apple pie spice. This blend gives your fries that cozy, cinnamon hit that'll make y'all smile with every bite.
  • In another bowl, whisk the eggs until they’re frothy. This helps the flour stick better and gives a nice coating.
  • Dip each apple slice first into the flour mixture, then into the eggs, and back into the flour again. This double coating technique helps create that crispy outer crust when fried.
  • Spray your air fryer basket with cooking spray, place the coated apple fries in a single layer, and spray the tops lightly too. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes, flipping halfway through for even crispiness. When they’re golden and crisp, remove ’em and immediately toss the fries in cinnamon sugar. Serve warm with a sprinkle of confectioners sugar and drizzle that vanilla extract mixed with whole milk right on top for a sweet finish.

Notes

Serve immediately for best texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in an air fryer to preserve crispiness.
