  • 1 package frozen puff pastry sheets thawed
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup marinara sauce
  • ½ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg beaten
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix ricotta, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  • Unfold puff pastry sheets and cut into 3-inch squares.
  • Place a heaping teaspoon of cheese mixture in the center of each square.
  • Spoon a small amount of marinara sauce over the cheese mixture.
  • Brush pastry edges with beaten egg, fold and seal tightly.
  • Place pastries on baking sheet and brush tops with more beaten egg.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden and puffy.
  • Garnish with fresh basil if desired and serve warm.

Notes

Cool leftovers completely before storing. Store in airtight container with parchment paper to maintain flakiness. Pastries can be frozen and reheated in oven for crispness.
