In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix well.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, and egg.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Use a wooden spoon or dough whisk to combine until a soft dough forms.
Lightly flour a clean surface and knead the dough for about 5 minutes, until it is smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it with a clean kitchen towel. Let it rest in a warm place for about 10 minutes.
After resting, punch down the dough, then divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a round ball.
Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
Cover the rolls with the kitchen towel again and let them rise for another 20 minutes, or until they have doubled in size.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Once the rolls have risen, bake them in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
Remove the rolls from the oven and brush the tops with extra melted butter before serving.
