French toast has always been something that was super decadent to me and only made on special occasions. But now that I’m an adult. With adult money… I make it way more often. This means switching things up every now and then so I don’t get bored with my favourite recipes.
This is such a great and quick recipe that you can honestly make at any time. The “batter” and the apples sit well for about a week, so if you want to make it ahead of time and store them in the fridge. That works very well.
A few notes on this recipe:
- you can remove the cinnamon from the batter if you don’t like it as much, but I highly recommend leaving it in the apples, as it creates the apple pie flavour so much more
- It honestly doesn’t matter what kind of milk you use. As long as you have a thicker consistency in your wet mix, you will be fine.
