I’ve never been one for sweets, but there’s something about this cake that’s kind of addictive. I love the Apple chunks giving it a different texture variation. Not to mention it just looks pretty to. Let’s be honest there’s nothing better than a little decadence during these transitional days.

This apple cake is super decadent, with nice aromatics and delicious spices. It’s easy to make and pretty portable if you want to take it to a party or get together.

Picture this, you’ve just had a delicious meal and now it’s time for everyone’s favourite part. The dessert. So make life a little easier on yourself and make a rustic apple cake. It’s both beautiful and easy to make with very little prep.
A few notes on this recipe:
- If your cake gets stuck in the pan, wrap it in saran and stick it in the freezer for a few hrs. When it comes out, run a knife around the sides, and then tap the edge on the counter. This should easily pop out your cake. Then thaw it and ice it.
- Instead of icing, you can also sprinkle with some icing sugar and some apple slices as decoration.
